Welcome to the wall of Shame Montana State Republican JOE READ.
For all you Montana’s out there, Joe is trying to introduce a bill into Montana’s state legislature that declares global warming a “natural occurrence and human activity has not accelerated it,” and that it is “beneficial to the welfare and business climate of Montana.”
The bill HB549 hopes to “ensure economic development in Montana”.
Oh dear Montana!
Joe states “Our weather is not going to change drastically. Even if it does get warmer, we’re going to have a longer growing season. It could be very beneficial to the state of Montana. Why are we going to stop this progress?”
Maybe John you might like to think about the Pine Bark Beetle infestations or the loss of the Glaciers in the “now” not so aptly named Glacier National Park.
