The City of Los Angeles plans to ban the use of "single use" plastic bags. Sounds like this program will be in place in about a year from now.  

I am so happy that such a major city has woken up and realised how easy it can be to clean up the rivers and reduce the garbage that ends up in the ocean.

Some articles highlight how unhappy consumers are, but lets face it people dont like change but in a few years time the people of Los Angeles will be happy and proud of their cleaner city. Lets all hope that more major cities arround the world wake up.
